Moroccan football star Hakim Zayech has never taken a single dollar

Khaled Beydoun, a renowned Moroccan journalist, has disclosed that Hakim Ziyech has not received any payment for representing Morocco since 2015.

According to Beydoun, the Chelsea forward “donates it all to team employees and impoverished families in his native Morocco.”

He is born in Netherlands but plays for the country of his parents Morocco which he calls home.

Ziyech’s gesture has deeply moved Reddit users.

“This guy seems like a gem of a person,” says Heavenly-alligator.

Ziyech was born in Holland and participated in under-19, under-20, and under-21 youth teams for that nation. However, in 2015, he decided to switch to playing for his parents’ nation.

Ziyech has since participated in 47 games with the Atlas Lions, scoring 19 goals.
