Liverpool star Sadio Mane has spent nearly £700,000 on new hospitals, schools, post offices, and gas stations in his Senegalese hometown of Bambali.

Mane, who will join Bayern Munich this summer, returned to Bambali last week to play a muddy football match with former Premier League stars Papiss Cisse and El-Hadji Diouf.

The 30-year-old visited the £455,000 hospital he funded last year in Senegal, serving 34 villages.

The kind-hearted forward, who constructed a £250,000 public secondary school in the village, is quickly turning Bambali into a town with nearly 2,000 inhabitants.

He funded a post office and opened a gasoline station.

Mane’s generosity goes beyond funding new buildings.

The winger gave each village family €70 for month and gave Bambali High School’s top pupils €400.

The school has received laptops, 4G internet, and free apparel for local kids.

After a Tuesday medical, the Liverpool star will sign a three-year contract with Bayern.

The transfer fee may be £35.1 million.
