Two characteristics to become friend of Allah

You only require two traits to become Allah’s buddy, you must:

1- Be a believer in Allah

2- You must possess taqwa.

To be a believer, you must possess two qualities: you must worship Allah alone, without associating Him with others, and you must adhere to Prophet Muhammad’s traditions (peace be upon him).

On top of that, taqwa is required.

Taqwa implies being aware of Allah. Engage in commands and refrain from prohibitions to create a barrier between you and Allah’s anger. This is referred to as taqwa (piety).

You become a friend of Allah if you are a devout believer.

So Allah declares:

In this world and the next, there is good news, pleasant tidings for them. (Verse 64 of the Quran)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) says in a narrative that Allah says:

I’ve declared war on anyone who has injured one of my friends. (Al-Bukhari)

This is what Allah says, and it is for this reason that we never injure anyone. You may never know who Allah’s friend is.

May Allah befriend us and make us from among those who truly are his friends.
