On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who reported: Abu Bakr said to Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) after the death of the Prophet of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): ‘O Umar, I have a message for you from Abu Bakr “Let us visit Umm Aiman (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the Messenger of Allah’s (ﷺ) childhood nursemaid and servant.

As the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) would often pay her a visit, she grew to love him.” As they concluded their visit and prepared to leave, she began to cry. Therefore, they asked: “What is the cause of your tears? Is it not preferable for the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) that which is with Allah?”

She responded, “I am not crying because I am unaware that whatever is with Allah is better for the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ), but because the revelation from the heavens has ceased.” This moved Abu Bakr and ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to tears, and so they began to weep with her.
