Are we truly asking Allah Azzawajal the right way, or are we making any errors? Here’s a simple checklist to get you started.

1) Maintain your firmness, as Allah’s Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) advised:

“When anybody of you asks Allah for something, he should ask firmly and not say, ‘O Allah, if You wish, give me,’ since no one can force Allah to do anything against His will.”

[Sahih Bukhari]

2) Be enthusiastic about what you do.

Ask Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) for the wonderful things you desire passionately and from the bottom of your heart. Don’t only repeat Duas; use them to implore Allah (subhana wa ta’ala).

3) Maintain a regular schedule

Prophet Muhammad ï·º

“Whoever does not ask Allah, Allah becomes enraged.”

[Saheeh Sunan Al-Tirmidhi]

When you make repeated requests of someone, they become angry. However, Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) dislikes it when individuals don’t make petitions or ask for anything from Him. It is ungrateful to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) if you do not beg Him for beneficial things. He wants to provide us, so we should not be uninterested in receiving what Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) wishes to give us.

4) Have patience.

Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will provide for you according to His Will, when and how He sees fit. If your wishes are not granted in this life, they will be granted on the Day of Judgment in the shape of good acts. So by begging Allah (subhana wa ta’ala), you always win.
