Dua for Forgivenss & Sustenance

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has taught thesahaba to make this Dua which will get them forgiveness and sustenance from Allah:

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي،

Transliteration: Allahummagfirli Warhamni wahdini warzuqni

Translation: O Allah, forgive me, show mercy to me, guide me and provide for me

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ‏: ‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ‏: ‏ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ طَارِقِ بْنِ أَشْيَمَ الأَشْجَعِيُّ قَالَ‏: ‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ‏: ‏ كُنَّا نَغْدُو إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَيَجِيءُ الرَّجُلُ وَتَجِيءُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَيَقُولُ‏: ‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ أَقُولُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ‏؟‏ فَيَقُولُ‏: ‏ قُلِ‏: ‏ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، فَقَدْ جَمَعَتْ لَكَ دُنْيَاكَ وَآخِرَتَكَ‏.‏

Tariq ibn Ashyam al-Ashja’i said, “We used to go and visit the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. On one occasion a man and woman came and the man asked, ‘Messenger of Allah, what should I say when I pray?’ He replied, ‘Say, “O Allah, forgive me, show mercy to me, guide me and provide for me.; They will combine this world and the Next world for you.'”
