Muhammad ranks as the second most popular boy’s name in the Netherlands in 2022, according to recent data.

The most popular name for newborn boys in the nation last year was Noah, with 871 occurrences, according to data provided by the Dutch Social Insurance Bank (SVB) on Thursday. Emma was the most popular name for girls, with 677 occurrences.

When the name’s different spellings were combined, Muhammad came in second position among infant boys’ names with 671.
