For the majority of her adolescent and adult years, a woman will begin to have a monthly cycle of menstruation at some time in her life. Allah prevents her from completing her five daily required prayers (namaz), visiting mosques, reciting the Holy Quran, or fasting throughout these periods.

That is why, especially during Ramadan, menstrual cycles can be a challenge, since women may feel as if they are being left out of Allah SWT’s bounties. This, however, is not the case. After all, Allah SWT has bestowed these natural occurrences upon women.

After that, here are some suggestions on how women can receive as much barakat (blessings) as possible during the last ten days of Ramadan, as Laylatul Qadr falls on one of those ten days.

  1. Make A lot of Dua

While praying Salah and reading the Quran are prohibited during Laylatul Qadr, there are plenty of duas that women can say as a form of prayer. You can always remember Allah with any short Dhikr/Dua of your want.

The following is one dua in particular that we strongly advise you to read:

Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni

“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You Love Forgiveness; thus forgive me,” it says. Recite this as many times as you can, and Allah SWT will hopefully pardon all of your previous misdeeds.

Keep in mind that Ramadan is a month of repentance. As a result, you should pray to Allah SWT for forgiveness for your sins and guidance in avoiding future transgressions. You can also inquire about your health, safety, and well-being, as well as that of your family and friends. He is, indeed, the most merciful and forgiving, as well as the most attentive listener.

10 Easy Sunnah Muslims Should Follow Daily

  1. Listen to the Quran

While you are unable to touch or recite the Quran while on your period, you can always listen to the verses. You can listen to Quran from internet or any other sources according to your preference. If you’re a mother, you might want to use this time to listen to your children recite the Quran and then guide them as they go.
  2. Provide food to those who are fasting.

During iftar or suhoor, use the additional time and energy you have to cook for others, whether it’s family, neighbours, close friends, or coworkers. Feeding individuals who fast is a kind of worship since it keeps them energised while they fast, which reaps numerous benefits for you.

You may even prepare a huge amount of food for your neighbourhood mosque for iftar if you want to take it a step further. Consider how many mouths you’d be feeding, and how much your benefits would be multiplied! Now, if you want to take things a step further, recite Salawat on Prophet Muhammad SAW while you’re cooking. Even if you only recite one salawat, Allah will write ten good actions for you and delete ten evil ones – Masha Allah.

  1. Deepen your understanding of Islam

Do not squander your time. Spend it wisely by learning more about Islam and gaining a better grasp of the Islamic faith. Discuss your problems with reputable Islamic professors, and get answers to any questions you have about Islam. You are being constructive by doing so, as the newfound knowledge you obtain will undoubtedly assist to reinforce your faith as time passes.
  2. Be charitable and help others.

Use this time to assist others, whether it’s helping your mother with housework or listening to your friends’ problems. For example, if you know a young mother who is overworked with her children, you can always provide a hand by offering to babysit her children.

To acquire Ramadan’s blessings, you can also use this time to enhance your charitable contributions by researching and selecting a suitable organisation that you and your family can contribute to. This is a healthy sort of spirituality that will improve your self-esteem in the long term.

Volunteering is another way to assist. You may utilise this extra time and energy to visit the elderly and sick in order to make them feel better and less lonely.

May Allah SWT grant us all the drive and tenacity we need to attain an unlimited amount of blessings and forgiveness during Laylatul Qadr:)
