What is the benefit of reciting Ayatul Kursi?

Reading the Holy Quran is a powerful tool for overcoming adversity, anxiety, and anguish, as well as for relieving us. Ayatul Kursi (Surat Al-Baqarah 2:255), commonly known as the Verse of the Throne, is one of the verses mentioned by Prophet Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam, and it is said to provide significant advantages in this life and the afterlife to those who read it.
There are several narrations (hadith) that talk of Ayatul Kursi’s merits and benefits.
According to Abu Huraira, the Prophet Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam assigned me to monitor the Ramadan Zakat earnings. Then someone approached me and began stealing the food. “I will take you to Allah’s Apostle!” I shouted when I caught him. Then Abu Huraira related the entire account, saying, “Please don’t take me to Allah’s Apostle, and I’ll give you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.” Recite Ayatul Kursi (2.255) before going to bed, and Allah will send a guard to defend you all night long, and Satan will not be able to approach you until dawn.” “He (who came to you at night) told you the truth even though he is a liar; and it was Satan,” the Prophet said after he heard the story. (Book 61 of the Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith 530)
Ayfa’ ibn Abdul Kila’i narrates
Ayfa’ related the storey of a man who asked Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) which surah of the Qur’an was the most important, and was told “Say, He is Allah, One.” He inquired about the greatest passage in the Qur’an, and was told that it was the Throne Verse, which reads, “Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal.” He asked Allah’s Prophet which verse he should memorise to bring good to himself and his people, and he was told, “The end of Surat Al-Baqarah, for it is one of the treasures of Allah’s mercy from under His throne, which He gave to these people, and there is no good in this world or the next that it does not include.”
Hadith 2169 by Al-Tirmidhi
Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever recites the ‘verse of the Throne’ (ayat al-kursi) after every prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entry into Paradise but death.”

Ayatul Qursi in Arabic
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْحَىُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٌۭ وَلَا نَوْمٌۭ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٢٥٥
English Translation:
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. Surah Al-Bakarah 2:255

Here are the list of some of the benefits of Ayatul Kursi:
1) A person who recites Ayat al-Kursi after every mandatory salah will be admitted to heaven.
2) If Allah wills, anybody who recites Ayat al-Kursi in the mornings and evenings will be shielded from all harm.
