The world of books is unique in that it transports readers to a period of joy, happiness, and excitement, as well as giving them a reason to smile, laugh, or even cry. That is the joy of reading! They can take the reader on an emotional rollercoaster just by using their words.

There are many different kinds of books. Some are used to provide pleasure, while others are used to provide information. Some are meant to be tasted, while others are meant to be swallowed, and only a few are meant to be chewed and digested; in other words, some are meant to be read in portions, while others are meant to be read quickly.

With all of this in mind, which literature is most beneficial to Muslims? What book may a Muslim read that will assist him not only in this life but also in the afterlife? There are numerous Islamic novels available on the market; but, which one should you read first?

There is one thing to keep in mind! A helpful book is one that was written for Allah’s sake, rather than for the sake of money, rank, or prestige, or to please others.

Here are the list of 10 Islamic books you should read:

1) The Sealed Nectar (الرحيق المختوم)

From birth to death, scholars of Ahadith (narrations) and biographers of Muhammad (PBUH), Allah’s Messenger, have looked into every element of his life. Every event and episode in his life has been detailed and recounted in great detail, but no one can claim to have completed the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography. On the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), hundreds of Islamic literature have been published, and this attempt will continue until the Day of Resurrection.

Without a doubt, ‘The Sealed Nectar’ (الرحيق المختوم) is a valuable and commendable study about the life of Muhammad (PBUH). Eminent Shaikh Safiur-Rahman Mubarakpuri of Jamiah Salafiyah, Banaras, authored this Islamic work (India). The Muslim World League sponsored the first Islamic Conference on the Seerah (biography of the Prophet (PBUH)) in Pakistan in 1976. The League established a worldwide competition to write a book about the Prophet’s life (PBUH). The main prize for the best five books was declared as 150 thousand Saudi Riyals (SR 150,000) (40,000 US Dollars), with The Sealed Nectar receiving the first place.

2) Islam & The world

The most important need of the day is to help the Muslim acquire confidence in him and in his past so that he is able to face the future with hope, courage and high resolve. His faith in the religion he professes, but whose genius he does not always understand, has to be revived and vitalized. His bonds with Islam are mainly those of heritage. He is a Muslim because he is born to Islam. He has rarely made any serious attempt to acquire a real understanding of his religion.
