The Qur’an is described by Allah as a “cure for what is in the hearts,” a “guide,” and “mercy” for believers. (10:57) ( Surah Yunus)

It is a guide to living a decent life in this world and the next. Here are seven ways to use the Qur’an to enrich your life.

  1. Reciting the Qur’an with proper tajweed brings comfort to the heart, tranquilly to the soul, and blessings to the home.

Due to its instant stress-relieving benefits, it makes you feel closer to Allah and alleviates any sorrow or suffering.

The finest approach to stay on the path of justice and hold on to Allah’s rope is to recite a few pages of the Qur’an every day, especially after Fajr prayer.

According to Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Al-As (may Allah bless him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“On the Day of Resurrection, the one who is faithful to the Qur’an will be told: Read and ascend” (in ranks). Recite as you used to when you were in your previous existence (dunia). The last verse (ayah) you pronounce will determine your rank.” Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi (Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi)

  1. Reading Tafsir and Translation
Reading is one of the most enjoyable activities. Millions of people are devoted to it. What better book to read on a lazy afternoon than the Qur’an or its explanation?

If we accurately grasp the Qur’an, we can gain a good comprehension of reality. You can read a competent and specialised scholar’s translation and exegesis (tafsir) of it. Exegesis reveals the Qur’anic secrets and illuminates the hidden meanings of words, passages, and surahs.

What is the benefit of reciting Ayatul Kursi?

  1. Memorize the Quran

According to Abdullah Ibn Abbas (may Allah bless him), the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“A wrecked house is anyone who does not memorise any part of the Qur’an.” (At-Tirmidhi)

When you have Divine words embedded in your heart, you may hum them to yourself when you’re down and stand in long, deep supererogatory prayers at night.

Furthermore, it makes you feel especially close to Allah when He replays pertinent Qur’anic words in your mind when you observe situations in daily life, giving you insight into the truth of this world’s life.

  1. Paying Attention to What You’re Saying
One of the finest methods to reflect on the Qur’an is to listen closely when someone reads and explains it aloud to you, whether in a car, on the internet, or in a live class at an institute or a mosque. Any student of Islamic knowledge can attest to the “high” sensation of insight that comes after a Qur’an class.
  2. Taking Action
We should follow the Qur’an in our daily lives; it is a Book provided to all mankind as guidance. As a result, all other acts of worship linked to the Qur’an would be of little use; rather, they may be used against Muslims on the Day of Judgment if they did not act on the Qur’an’s instructions, or did not intend to act on them when seeking its knowledge.

From fulfilling covenants, taking loans, leaving inheritance, responding to evil with good, tying the nuptial knot, and calling to Islam to principles of raising pious children and giving charity, the Qur’an provides Muslims with comprehensive guidance on how to live a peaceful life both individually and communally.

  1. Instructing/Teaching Others
According to `Uthman Ibn Affan (may Allah bless him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“He who studies the Qur’an and teaches it (to others) is the greatest among you.” (Al-Bukhari)

“I teach the Qur’an,” sounds sophisticated, yet spreading the Qur’an can be as simple as asking a few friends over for tea and reading a few ayahs to them in Arabic, followed by translation and exegesis over the course of a half-hour. After that, everyone can talk about how they can apply what they’ve learned to their own life.

The short surahs of the Qur’an may be covered, or the full Qur’an may be taught chronologically. The goal is to open the Qur’an on a regular basis for dawah and reflection. The advantages of this activity – imparting it to others – exceed the disadvantages of contemplating it alone.
