The U16 French national team has omitted potential French-Algerian footballer Enzo Sternal owing to a religious celebration. During a score celebration, the player revealed “Allah is great” under his jersey, which upset French Football Federation officials. In April, he celebrated a goal in the Montaigu tournament.

Sternal’s U19 involvement at Olympique de Marseille shows his football talent. José Alcocer, his national team coach, calls him a kind, smart, and talented young player. At 16, Sternal has five caps and one goal for France.

A promising French football talent, Enzo Sternal, is Algerian by mother. Thus, if approached by the Algerian Football Federation, he may play for Algeria. Among the world’s brightest possibilities is the Olympique de Marseille training centre striker. He joined OM in the summer of 2022 for 550,000 euros, including bonuses and a share of any future transfer fee, a fantastic achievement for a 15-year-old.
